P_2025_02-010: ASAM OSI Sensor Modeling Improvements and DIS 23150 Alignment

Description: Various minor to medium improvements to the information that can be contained in SensorView and/or SensorData based on existing and evolving sensor technologies shall be added to OSI. If the harmonisation and extension of environment is not handled in a separate issue/project, sensor-relevant enhancements can be handled here. Note that alignment with the new DIS 23150 is one of the core topics in here as well (with a tight timeline due to ISO processes, see https://github.com/OpenSimulationInterface/open-simulation-interface/issues/849). Especially overlap with ISO 23150 might necessitate alignment beyond OSI, which will be targeted also via the harmonization project.

Backwards Compatibility:

  • Goal is for backward compatibility (hence inclusion in a minor release), but where needed a path for major changes is shown for later inclusion in a major release.

Completion Criteria / Deliverables:

  • At least the issues referenced above have been handled one way or another, with the result included in a minor release of OSI.
