V2.2.x feature proposal Crossing road elements
OSC DSL 2.1 supports 'crossing'. This is a general means that can be used to indicate straight paths from arbitrary offset on some lane to arbitrary offset on another lane, for the sake of crossing the road (by a pedestrian or railway or other). A specific use case is for a crosswalk. This mechanism enables to refer and connect no ego, non vehicle actors to the road crossing.
It is proposed to add a generic mechanism that will enable to reference vehicle actors to such crossing. For this purpose, it is proposed to add road elements that represent: (a) road that leads to a crosswalk and (b) the part of the road (driving lanes) within the crosswalk. So as opposed to crossing they represent the vehicles' paths and not the pedestrian paths. The latter elements are also classified by their relation to road topology - junction-entry, junction-exit, over a one-way-road or over a two-way-road.
