followTrajectory "closed" trajectories is unclear

The "closed" boolean parameter in followTrajectory describes what it means but it doesn't describe how to handle it.
Describe the solution you would like
The documentation should describe what a closed trajectory is and how simulators should handle it.
Describe alternatives you have considered
Does closed trajectory mean that the vehicle should loop over it? Or just that the end point is equal to the start point (and thus not described in the OSC file.
Describe the backwards compatibility
No backward compatibility problems that I can think of.
