Orientation: Handling of specified pitch and roll for road and lane coordinates
Describe the problem
With OpenSCENARIO V1.2.0 the decription of the Orientation class was significantly improved. However, there is still one aspect that is not clear for us.
Describe your research
The OpenSCENARIO V1.2.0 Model Documentation describes in the orientation class:
"In the case of referencing to the road- or lane coordinate system, Pitch and Roll angles are determined by a surface tilt of an underlying road and therefore cannot be meaningfully interpreted within the OpenSCENARIO standard."
However, it is not explicitly specified how the parameters pitch and roll should be handled if they are given from the user.
Ask your question
This leads to the following questions for us:
What shall happen if pitch/roll angles are additionally specified when referencing to the road- or lane coordinate system (relative reference context)? Shall they be simply neglected or interpreted as absolute/relative pitch/roll angles w.r.t world/road surface?
Thank you very much for your help in advance!
